Vets are reporting that they are seeing a sharp increase in cases of laminitis. With the majority of the UK experiencing rain and periods of sunshine, this creates the perfect conditions for rapid grass growth.
Keeping a close watch in current conditions
We certainly needed all that rain, and this sunshine is lovely, but the combination is the perfect recipe for Laminitis. Whether your horse or pony is prone to it or not, and even if he/she is looking slim and healthy, it’s worth keeping an eye out for any signs.
