Is your horse happy with a visit from the vet?

It’s our responsibility as owners to make sure our horses are as prepared as possible for basic veterinary procedures. So important for the safety of our vets, but also for the sake of our horses. The video series ‘Don’t Break Your Vet’ was produced a while ago but recently re-shared by BEVA on social media. The whole series is worth a watch (see link at bottom) and if you would like to share then don’t forget to use the hashtag #dontbreakyourvet

“Equine vets have one of the highest injury risks of all civilian professions. To help address this serious issue the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) has produced a series of short videos, featuring vet and equine behaviourist Gemma Pearson, providing quick and simple ways of teaching horses to be quiet, relaxed and safe for injections, clipping, worming, examinations and other veterinary procedures.”
